Gardner, King, Nelson, LeVell, Parker: Leaders Urge President to Proclaim Abortion as National Crisis

Friday, January 25th, 2019

In an open letter to the president, national leaders, joined by other leaders in the Prolife Movement, urge The Commander in Chief to declare that abortion of human babies is a national crisis. They are urging the people of America to join in advancing this message.

Read the text of the letter below.

January 25, 2019

President Donald J. Trump
The White House
Attention: White House Public Liaison Office
Washington, DC

Dear President Trump,

Thank you for your service to the people of America. Mindful of your compassion for the “soul of America,” we are writing with an urgent request.

While we fully understand your concern for the safety and security of the American people, as well as compassionate consideration for innocent immigrants, we are requesting that you also consider addressing another American crisis by declaring that the abortion of a child – notably deemed by science and philosophy as a living human byproduct – in the womb is a crime against humanity.

While considering a barrier or a wall to protect the people of America and to assist the innocent immigrants who desire to come into our country, we pray that you will also remember the babies in the womb, according to God, science and philosophy are human beings waiting to be born.

The scourge of abortion of human beings in the womb is an American crisis. Please declare that abortion of pre-born human beings is a national crisis.

Just this week on January 22, 2019 the Governor of New York signed into law The Reproductive Health Act, an approval to kill even more of our American children, especially African American children. Already in New York more Black babies are being aborted than are being born. Sir, we are asking you to declare that abortion is a crime against humanity.

Again, America is in a state of crisis, at our geographical borders and in the sanctuaries of the wombs of our mothers. America is besieged and beleaguered by serious crimes against humanity with abortion of human beings at the top of the list.

We are very concerned that all of the candidates that announced their bid to run for president in 2020 chose to rise on the anniversary of the celebration of the 90th birthday of the prophet Martin Luther King, Jr.; and did so being fully in league with America’s massive abortion industry while backed by Black faith-based leaders under the auspices of the Negro Project; a genocide project with longstanding and deadly intent.

They all remain in league to commit genocide and eugenics against African American babies. One third of the babies aborted in America are African American babies while we remain the least of these in numbers of population (about 12%).

Mr. President, we salute you for keeping your promises and bringing prison reform, religious freedom, tax breaks, lower unemployment, and many other benefits to America. Thank you also for addressing crimes against humanity, notably demonstrated yet again with your recent signing of the Frederick Douglass Anti-Human Trafficking Law.

Thank you for recognizing the legacy of Frederick Douglass and his incredible efforts against slavery. Thank you for recognizing that human trafficking is today’s modern slavery; all slavery is a crime against humanity. Abortion is another form of slavery; with the human child in the womb held hostage.

As you know, a crime against humanity occurs when the government withdraws legal protection from a class of human beings as they did with African American slaves in our American past. Even though adoption is a viable option to abortion; there is very little if any protection for the unborn human baby.

In addition to seeking solutions to this crisis, we also urge you to declare that abortion occurs in the human sex trafficking cycle; often these occurrences are forced abortions; all indicative of more crimes against humanity.

We have denied legal protection to a class of human beings, children in the womb. As the Supreme Court has said in describing the contents of the woman’s womb, “While we find no reliable data to measure the phenomenon, it seems unexceptionable to conclude some women come to regret their choice to abort the INFANT LIFE they once created and sustained.” “Severe depression and loss of esteem can follow.” (emphasis added) Gonzales v. Carhart, 550 U.S. 124 (2007).

Mr. President, we the undersigned individuals urge you to make a public declaration to this effect; that abortion of a child in the womb is a crime against humanity; and to sanction The Moral Outcry Petition at www.themoraloutcry.com and other factual statements in support of the sanctity of life.

Again, Mr. President, thank you for your continuing leadership to promote human dignity and the sanctity of human life regardless of condition of servitude, color of skin, or length of days.

We are urging the people of America to pray with us, and to join us in sounding this alarm. God bless you, Mr. President; and God bless America.

Respectfully Submitted,

God Speaks to the Shutdown

Saturday, January 19th, 2019

Early [1/19/19] this morning my friend Sylvia called me with a word which inspired this meme. I immediately posted the meme on social media when we hung up. I was about to check out of a DC hotel to return from the March for Life and Sudden Uprising conference.

In the hotel parking area, a young man approached me and requested a “selfie.” He explained that he had just seen my meme on Instagram. Wow! I realized that God really cares about the SHUTDOWN, and he can use INSTAGRAM to speak to us. After all, He’s used stranger things: like a donkey and a burning bush. Just saying…

God bless you. Here’s Sylvia’s word:

WORKING FOR THE
😊 LORD 😊
“The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.” 2 Thessalonians 3:10

African American Leaders Unite Around the Wall to Help Avoid Looming Crisis

Thursday, January 10th, 2019

Some claim that building a wall is “medieval solution” to a modern problem. The wheel is an ancient solution too. Nobody’s complaining about that. POTUS is on target. Walls do work; as in the days of Ezra and Nehemiah, walls are still viable solutions. Why now? Just days away are the March for Life and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday yet America is in crisis at the southern border.

As an African American voice for justice, a defender of the sanctity of life, and perhaps most importantly a Christian evangelist, I stand with President Trump as he labors to build a wall. From my perspective, compassion trumps terror. Our prayers are needed more than ever. We must rally around the wall to avert crisis.

Having survived and in many cases overcome tyranny, oppression and racism in America, we as African Americans are close to the heartbeat of justice and compassion. We are not color blind. Our hearts are touched by the plight of all children and their families; not just at the border, but here at home as well.

Children in the womb, in cribs, in school, in jail, with parents behind bars, on the streets, at our borders; many are in danger. We must have responsible compassion for them all.

My goddaughter, Angela Stanton King, co-founder of the American King Foundation writes: “The process of draining the swamp, is a process of seeking genuine true justice, jubilee, pardon, and forgiveness. We’re going to continue to discover that there are some very thin lines between right, wrong, justice, and injustice. Meanwhile, we live in a world where security is necessary. The Wall plan is viable.”

Rev. Bill and Dr. Deborah Owens, Founders of CAAP write: “Christians have a responsibility to help those in need, including the undocumented immigrants at our southern border. At the same time, we must also respect the need to secure our borders and ensure the safety of all U.S. citizens. The African-American community has been gravely injured by unfettered illegal immigration, which has resulted in loss of jobs, loss of housing, and other economic hardship.”

Collectively, we stand with President Trump in the battle for the soul of America. I’m praying that POTUS builds the wall in the manner that Ezra and Nehemiah did in days of old.”

As Commander and Chief of America, POTUS is fighting for the soul of our nation. In his address to the nation on January 8, 2019, President Donald J. Trump speaks to the people of America:

  • There is a growing humanitarian and security crisis at our southern border.
  • Customs and Border Patrol agents continue to encounter thousands of illegal immigrants at our southern border.
  • Meanwhile, Americans are continually at risk from uncontrolled, illegal migration.
  • This climate strains public resources and drives down jobs and wages for the American people as well as the legal immigrants who are here.
  • Among those ethnic communities hardest hit are African Americans and Hispanic Americans.
  • Sadly, our southern border is a pipeline for vast quantities of illegal drugs, including meth, heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl.
  • As a result, every week, 300 of our citizens are killed by heroin alone, 90 percent of which floods across from our southern border.
  • If something isn’t done, and soon, more Americans could die from drugs this year than were killed in the entire Vietnam War.
  • Last month, 20,000 migrant children were illegally brought into the United States — a dramatic increase.  These children are used as human pawns by vicious coyotes and ruthless gangs.
  • One in three women are sexually assaulted on the dangerous trek up through Mexico.  Women and children are the biggest victims, by far, of our broken system.

“This is a humanitarian crisis — a crisis of the heart and a crisis of the soul,” he asserted.

Thankfully, the President is not alone in his efforts to serve the people of America as well as the immigrant families who are flooding our border. The president further appeals to the soul of the American people with a call to heart:

  • America works hard to welcome millions of lawful immigrants who enrich our society and contribute to our nation.
  • In the last two years, ICE officers made 266,000 arrests of aliens with criminal records, including those charged or convicted of 100,000 assaults, 30,000 sex crimes, and 4,000 violent killings.
  • This is the tragic reality of illegal immigration on our southern border.  This is the cycle of human suffering that POTUS is determined to end.
  • We must fall to our knees and then rise and rally to the call.
  • The president’s proposal includes requests from Homeland Security for cutting-edge technology for detecting drugs, weapons, illegal contraband, and many other things. Also included in his proposal are requests for more agents, immigration judges, and bed space to process the sharp rise in unlawful migration fueled by our very strong economy.
  • The plan also contains an urgent request for humanitarian assistance and medical support.
  • There is also an urgent request that Congress will close border security loopholes so that illegal immigrant children can be safely and humanely returned back home.
  • In addition, as an overall approach to border security, law enforcement professionals have requested $5.7 billion for a physical barrier.  At the request of Democrats, it will be a steel barrier rather than a concrete wall.
  • This barrier is absolutely critical to border security.  It’s also what our professionals at the border want and need.

Today, I join my colleagues in the faith in a cry for prayer and compassion as we face this present danger.

Speaking from a platform in support of diversity and compassion, Bruce LeVell, Executive Director of NDC Trump writes: “As a follower of Christ, my convictions are to set up processes to aid those subjected to evil. Meanwhile we must protect our citizens. Mr. President, build that wall!”

Bishop Leon Benjamin, Coalition of Leaders United makes an urgent appeal: “This is a Humanitarian Effort. A Crisis of the Soul and Heart! Time to Stop It and Keep America Safe! Secure Our Borders and Build the Wall!”

Day Gardner, Founder of National Black Prolife Union speaks in support: “President Trump is presenting brilliant and compassionate solutions to the crisis. I pray that the masses unite in prayer and action to avoid disaster.”

Rev. Dean Nelson, Chairman of the board for the Frederick Douglass Foundation agrees: “The proper role of our government is to protect its citizens before it doles out benefits to others. Securing our boarder is a necessity to protect American workers and crack down on Human trafficking.”

In conclusion, we urge all Americans to pray for a speedy reconciliation among our leaders for the sake of the children, and the soul of America.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Friday, December 21st, 2018

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone! The new criminal justice reform bill is a holiday blessing. As witness to this historic event, I can tell you that this pen, as well as the one for the Religious Freedom and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Historic Park are more than just souvenirs. They are evidence that God is moving our President and our nation towards repentance and transformation. I’m on my way back home from Washington, DC just before Christmas praying for all humanity. Many have experienced loss this year, yet there are many blessings. As my grandfather, Rev. Martin Luther King, Sr., would say, “Thank God for what we have left and keep looking up.”

Oh Holy Night

Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life condemns British court, hospital and the silence of the worldwide media

TITUSVILLE, FL — Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today condemned a British court and hospital as plans were put in place to end the life of 23-month-old Baby Alfie Evans.

“The Royal Courts of Justice in London has decided on a date and time to end this precious child’s life, but that date and time are not to be released to the public. They hope to accomplish this state-sanctioned murder without anyone noticing. And since the British media and pro-life media in the U.S. are the only outlets covering this tragedy, perhaps the world won’t notice.

“The whole world was watching the Baby Charlie Gard case last year, and in 2011 when a Canadian hospital tried something similar with Baby Joseph Maraachli. Have we reached the limit of our compassion?”

Priests for Life has been working behind the scenes with the family and will continue those efforts, Father Pavone said.

“Where there is life, there’s hope,” he said. “The family and its supporters will keep doing everything they can to protect Alfie’s life from the dictates of a heartless government and health-care system and an indifferent media.”

50 Years After, MLK’s Dream Still Lives On

Tuesday, March 20th, 2018

180320 blog imageOn April 4, 2018 the world will remember the life and legacy of my Uncle Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. whose life on earth was cut short by an assassin’s bullet 50 years ago. Please pray for the immediate family of MLK/CSK during this sensitive time.

As a member of “The King Family Legacy” and of the Board of Trustees for The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change founded by his widow, the valiant Mrs. Coretta Scott King and other members of our family, I will be joining many of those who will commemorate the MLK legacy both publicly and privately.

Along with the official ceremonies in Atlanta hosted by The King Center and the new MLK National Historic Park, all taking place April 4-9, 2018, there will be a release of a new cover to the original song LET FREEDOM RING [with prayer], as well as a release of a new documentary.

In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination, Sunwise Media and Positive Promotions, LTD are set to debut an advance televised documentary screening of UNSOLVED HISTORY: LIFE OF A KING on March 25, in Atlanta.

The one hour documentary narrated by Emmy Award Winning Newsman Ed Gordon, presents exclusive interviews with King family members and other courageous men and women of America’s 20th Century Civil Rights Movement.

For air dates and times visit: sunwisemedia.com/unsolvedhistory

Dr. King once asked: “Where do we go from here?”

On this 50th Anniversary, as the MLK tributes and testimonies are revisited, we must pray that Uncle ML’s timeless message of God’s Agape Love resonates in the days ahead. With Agape Love as the key to humanity’s problems, we – men, women and children of every nation, tongue and tribe – must embrace the One Blood/One Human Race of Acts 17:26. We’re not separate races; we’re not color blind. Let’s move forward in loving and living color; not only in memory of Rev. Dr. King; but more so in prayerful tribute to the God that MLK served.

“For this is how God loved the world: God gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”
John 3:16-17 NLT

Alveda King: Appointment to Frederick Douglass Commission is “a blessing”

Friday, February 9th, 2018

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: February 8, 2018

ATLANTA — Alveda King, Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn for Priests for Life, said she is grateful and honored to have been named to serve on the Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Commission by President Trump.

“Black History Month is full of surprises this year,” Ms. King said. “President Donald J. Trump has honored one of my heroes, Frederick Douglass, by forming the Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Commission. It’s a blessing to serve America as a new member of the Commission.”

The 16-member Commission was established by an act of Congress and signed into law by President Trump last November.

Douglass was born into slavery in 1818 on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and rose to become one of the nation’s most eloquent and passionate abolitionists. He led the effort to allow black men – including two of his sons — to fight in the Union Army and, through his friendship with President Lincoln, ensured that emancipation of the slaves was a goal of the Civil War. He also served in various capacities under Presidents Rutherford, Hayes, Harrison and Grant.

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, noted that the appointment was one of several honors Ms. King has received from President Trump. She was invited to the White House Rose Garden ceremony in May 2016 when the president signed an executive order on religious liberty. Ms. King was with the president a year ago when he toured the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture. She also was on board Air Force One in January when President Trump established the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, Georgia’s first national historic park.

“The appointment to the Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Commission is an honor for Alveda King and it’s an honor for our Priests for Life family of ministries,” Father Pavone said. “We are very proud that she will be providing input on ways to honor such an important American leader.”

Fr. Pavone on Charlie Gard: Hospital, court should get out of the way

NEW YORK — Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, issued the following statement today regarding the latest developments in the Charlie Gard case.

“On Thursday, Baby Charlie Gard’s parents will have to prove to a court that an experimental medical treatment might help their son. This is outrageous,” Father Pavone said. “The decision on Charlie’s medical future should not be in the hands of a court. This is clearly an instance when parental rights must prevail.”

According to news reports, Charlie’s parents, Chris Gard and Connie Yates, have until tomorrow to provide evidence that an experimental treatment in the U.S. could be beneficial for their son.

Priests for Life has initiated an international prayer campaign, and we ask all to sign up for it at www.PrayerCampaign.org/Charlie.

100 Days of Trump – 100 Days of Prayer

Thursday, April 27th, 2017

170427 blog image

Many people who voted for President Trump agree that he is delivering on his promises.   When I voted for President Trump, I lifted up a prayer asking God to guide our President and to heal our nation. I have not regretted my vote or our prayers for his success throughout his 100 days.

Throughout his First 100 Days President Trump has taken dramatic steps to undo burdensome regulations, restore law and order, bolster our military, revive the American dream, change Washington by holding it accountable, put the American worker first and confirm Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.

According to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll, an incredible 96% of us who supported the President in November say we would do it again today.

Added to his proactive agenda, President Trump has enacted more legislation and signed more executive orders in the First 100 days than any president in half a century.

Our POTUS has removed more job-killing regulations through legislation than any president in U.S. history.  Consequently he has boosted job creation and economic optimism has been renewed, with consumer confidence reaching its highest level in 16 years.

As a Christian African American woman who is 50+ years of age who is also a concerned mother and grandmother, I am grateful to say that President Trump has allayed many of my concerns, and those of my constituency. Just to name a few of the POTUS improvements:

  • Helping Women/Minorities by Minimizing Affordable Care Act
  • The Historically Black Colleges and Universities Initiative
  • Appointment of Dr. Ben Carson as HUD Secretary
  • Canada-United States Council for the Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs
  • Promoting Women in Entrepreneurship Act
  • Promoting Programs to Engage Women in STEM Fields
  • Challenge to Planned Parenthood to Stop Abortions and help heal Americans not kill them

Once again there is hope for the people of America as our POTUS continues “thinking big about exploration and discovery again; protecting the farmers and ranchers that feed our country, and reasserting American power on the world stage.”

Members of the POTUS Cabinet will continue to reach out beyond the beltway, responding to the concerns of the people and spreading President Trump’s message across the country. There is promise of a 100 Days webpage where the White House will be producing graphics, videos, and other digital content for the President’s online constituents to share.

“The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live.” 1 Timothy 2:1-3 MSG

The prayer network will continue. God bless America.
