Obey and Serve God!

Wednesday, March 6th, 2013

On New Year’s Eve, my pastor and mentor Allen had this word for us: “Obey and serve God in 2013 and prosper and be blessed.”

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. (Job 36:11 KJV)

Serving God and His people also means loving His people. Obeying God means keeping His commandments. Jesus said, “if you love me keep my commandments.”

My friend Day Gardner just wrote this to me.

Day Gardner“Good Morning, dear sister!

1 Kings 18. – interesting that in Ahab’s evil government — there stood Obadiah.

I found myself chuckling a bit when Obadiah was speaking to Elijah.

Elijah said to Obadiah “Go tell Ahab I am here”. Obadiah said wait a minute…you want me to tell that crazy, crazy man–that wants you dead by the way– with the really crazy and evil wife, Jezebel– that you are here? …and if I do tell Ahab — and they find that you left—they will kill ME!

Then he says…hey, by the way does God know that I helped save the lives of 100 Holy men…by hiding them and feeding them?

And with Elijah’s promise–Obadiah is obedient and does what he is told to do.

I love GOD’s Word!

Lesson learned: Even in the most evil government GOD has planted people of faith to do HIS bidding. I am praying this morning for those people in Obama’s evil administration and other areas of government who are in believers in JESUS–working to save lives and souls. I am praying that they may be sustained by faith and encouraged in prayer to stand and continue to fight the good fight.

Praise GOD!

Together, in CHRIST,

For abundant life which includes abortion free living, Holy 1Man+1Woman Matrimony, and Agape Love?

Friends, are we ready to trust God and obey?

Wake Up Church

Friday, November 30th, 2012

Shame on Jamie. And shame on all the people that listened on, stood up, clapped and cheered his remarks. And more shame on Christian preachers who are still celebrating President Obama’s re-election. I pray that someone realizes that babies civil rights and natural life, marriage and family are under attack. Time to pray for revival and repentance.

At the 2012 Soul Train Awards on November 25 Jamie Foxx said this: “First of all, giving honor to God and our lord and savior Barack Obama. Barack Obama.”

This startling statement by Mr. Foxx reflects a genuinely sad sentiment of too many misguided voters, of all ethnic and denominational persuasions. Remember that all classes of people reelected Mr. Obama.

When I tell people that they don’t need to worship President Obama they say, “I’m not worshiping President Obama.”

But then when we hear Jamie Foxx on the Soul Train Awards and the people cheering, you have to wonder.

So this is outrageous; people worshiping President Obama. And I know people do that. With regards to my Uncle Martin I’ve always said, “Please do not worship Martin Luther King, Jr. When you go to that Memorial, thank God that He gave us such a man of God who was not perfect but served a perfect God and He loved you and tried to communicate that as best as he could.” Worship God not the man.

So I just think it’s outrageous. People do worship President Obama. Oh my God! Forgive us Father!

Pray for preachers and people alike. This is a perfect occasion for preachers to take exception and teach the people who Jesus Christ is.

It’s a sin and a shame for Christian preachers to let the comedians preach blasphemy while the Church looks on from the sidelines.

We, the Church, need to wake up.

Wake up preachers! Wake up Church!

A Can of Worms: Here She Goes Again! Part 2

Wednesday, November 28th, 2012

As promised, here is the Creation Parable for yesterday’s blog. To learn more please get my book Who We Are In Christ Jesus.

A Creation Parable by Alveda King, © 2009

I emerged from the womb of an ancient goddess, known by many as Eve. Her husband Adam was also a god favored by the Almighty Creator. Adam and Eve were the first power couple known to human kind. Adam walked with Great Creator I AM in the Garden of the Great Country of Eden during the cool of the day.

Adam’s intellect was so superior that he was able to name all the plants and animals that inhabited Adam’s palatial mansion, called Earth. Mother or Planet Earth was uniquely beautiful in those days. The climate and atmosphere were perfect, ripe for procreative abundance. Great Creator I AM was so pleased with all that Great Creator I AM had made, that Great Creator I AM gave Adam and Eve full license to “be fruitful and multiply.”

Indeed, Adam’s physical body had been formed from the substance of Mother Earth. Great Creator I AM fashioned Adam’s magnificent body from the dust of Mother Earth. Later, Great Creator I AM caused mighty Adam to fall into a deep sleep. Then, Great Creator I AM took DNA and RNA substance from Adam and fashioned our ancient, beautiful and powerful goddess Mother Eve.

For many years, Adam and Eve resided primarily in the Garden of Eden on their planet. Together they had dominion over everything. Then, one day, an adversary of the Creator, who had been banished from the Royal Courts of Great Creator I AM made his evil advance into the Paradise of Adam and Eve.

This particularly cunning enemy was very jealous of Adam and Eve, because, having rebelled against the Mighty Great Creator I AM, the adversary Lucifer lost his lofty authority in the heavens. Lucifer had been foolish enough to say that he would exalt himself above the heavenly throne of Great Creator I AM. Needless to explain, but I will attempt it anyway, Great Creator I AM was not about to be dethroned, so Lucifer and his companions in the crime of treason against Great Creator I AM was cast out of the heavens into outer darkness.

Then, one day, the Holy Spirit of Great Creator I AM moved over the interplanetary shadows of a heretofore unnoticed planet called Earth. Great Creator I AM spoke energy light into the atmosphere of Mother Earth, and life appeared on the planet. This is where Great Creator I AM fashioned Adam and Eve and established their Earth Kingdom in the Garden of Eden.

Enemy Lucifer would not leave well enough alone. He hated his exile. After all, he had been the choir leader in Heaven. He was the most talented and the most beautiful of all the angels. His elevated status had never been enough. He “wanted it all.” Never has there been a greater example of self love, than that of Lucifer.

The banishment of the fallen angel Lucifer/Satan is noted as being so severe that the Only Begotten Son of Great Creator I AM would one day recall that HE saw this ancient serpentine enemy fall from Planet Heaven like lightening.

At any rate, Angel Lucifer as he was known at the time, decided to slither into the Garden of Eden and seduce Adam’s wife. His seduction was so effective that it disrupted the harmony of Eden.

Enemy Lucifer wanted Earth, but had no legal way to wrest it from Adam. So, Lucifer seduced Mother Eve. Mother Eve tried to reason out in her own mind the edicts of Great Creator I AM that had been given to her husband Adam. They were not to eat of the knowledge of the tree of good and evil. Eve was beguiled by Lucifer and ate of the fruit. Adam was not beguiled, but a part of himself, his DNA/RNA connection to Eve had already partaken, so he joined his wife in the act of partaking of the “forbidden fruit.”

After the fruit of forbidden knowledge was conceived, Great Creator I AM cast them out of the Garden, away from the tree of life. Adam and Eve, whose spiritual energy and perfectly balanced souls had been housed in a perfect physical body, were now subject to time. They moved out of the timeless dimensions of Eden, into the boundaries of time and decay of what earth would become.

Great Creator I AM placed a flaming sword at the “gate” of Eden, so that Adam and Eve would not have the courage to “walk through the fire” to return to Paradise.

In the midst of Lucifer’s seduction and Adam and Eve’s subsequent “fall from Great Creator I AM’s grace,” two sons were conceived; Cain being of his father the evil one, and Able being the Son of Adam. Cain, in a fit of rage, killed Abel. Murder was now in the earth.

Adam’s and Eve’s bodies, no longer eternally existing in a timeless state, begin to “die.” Great Creator I AM had warned them that not following the Creator’s Divine Instructions would lead to “death.” This state of “death” had previously been unknown to Creation.

Over the next thousands of years, men and women would be born, and then die on Planet Earth. Only the promise of a “Redeemer” gave the people hope.

Great Creator I AM had a timeless plan. “For Great Creator I AM so loved the world, that Great Creator I AM gave Great Creator I AM’s Only Begotten Son, Jesus, so that anyone who believes on, has faith in and accepts the Lordship of Jesus the Christ, shall not perish, but shall have the everlasting life promised to us before the beginning of time as we know and understand it.”

Much of this Truth has been distorted by human reasoning and demonic interference. Yet, Great Creator I AM loves us so much, that we are welcome into eternity, if we accept the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Pursue Truth, and life. Amen.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God…

Pastors Speak On Abortion In The African American Community

Thursday, August 23rd, 2012

By Colette M. Jenkins
Beacon Journal religion writer

Three Northeast Ohio pastors have come together to urge pastors in the African-American church to use their pulpits to address issues affecting the black community.

They’re starting with abortion.

“I am not ashamed to say I am a black pro-life pastor and that the African-American church is guilty of not taking the lead on issues like abortion,” said the Rev. Walter Moss of Foursquare Church in Canton. “As pastors, we need to be able to come together and have a civil conversation about how abortion is affecting us and we need to be equipped with the information to help our people deal with it.”

On Thursday, Moss joined with the Rev. Dennis Butts of the House of the Lord in Akron and the Rev. Roscoe Heath of New Praise Ministries in Cleveland to sponsor a forum on abortion.

The Choose Life Conference, called What If You Were Chosen to Be Aborted?, was hosted by the Rev. Roderick Pounds at Second Baptist Church in Akron. It attracted more than 50 people, mostly pastors and church leaders, and featured talks by Star Parker and the Rev. Stephen Broden.

Broden, senior pastor at Fair Park Bible Fellowship in Dallas, has been a leader in the black anti-abortion movement for decades. He reminded pastors that it is their responsibility to represent the Christian worldview on abortion.

“How is it that we are murdering our kids at an alarming rate and why does it seem that no one is saying anything about it? Pastors, there is a judgment that awaits us for our silence,” Broden said.

“Pastors play a strategic role in turning this around. We are witnessing a war on black babies, a war on black women and a war on black families . . .

Do Not Worry

Friday, August 3rd, 2012

This weekend let’s take some time to reflect on God’s goodness. Let’s put worldly concerns aside for a moment and concentrate on the fact that all we truly need in this world comes from God.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. – Matthew 6:25-34

“For Greater Glory”: Opening in Theatres June 1, 2012

Wednesday, May 30th, 2012

I recently attending a screening of “For Greater Glory” in Spain and it was stirring, thought provoking, and pivotal. Bringing the reality of how man’s humanity to man crumbles in the wake of faith, hope and love. Highly recommended.

A historical and relevant voice in the 21st century battle for religious freedom. You must see it when it comes out. It is incredible.

What price would you pay for freedom? In the exhilarating action epic FOR GREATER GLORY an impassioned group of men and women each make the decision to risk it all for family, faith and the very future of their country, as the film’s adventure unfolds against the long-hidden, true story of the 1920s Cristero War the daring people¹s revolt that rocked 20th Century North America.

Academy Award® nominee Andy Garcia headlines an acclaimed cast as General Gorostieta, the retired military man who at first thinks he has nothing personal at stake as he and his wife (Golden Globe nominee Eva Longoria) watch Mexico fall into a violent civil war. Yet the man who hesitates in joining the cause will soon become the resistance’s most inspiring and self-sacrificing leader, as he begins to see the cost of religious persecution on his countrymen . . . and transforms a rag-tag band of rebels into a heroic force to be reckoned with. The General faces impossible odds against a powerful and ruthless government. Yet is those he meets on the journey youthful idealists, feisty renegades and, most of all, one remarkable teenager named Jose who reveal to him how courage and belief are forged even when justice seems lost.

Director Dean Wright brings a visual power honed from years as a leading Hollywood effects guru on such blockbusters as TITANIC, THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy and CHRONICLES OF NARNIA to this real-life tale that has never been told on screen before. The film is written by Michael Love. The producer is Pablo Jose Barroso. Garcia and Longoria lead a stellar multinational cast that includes the legendary Peter O¹Toole, rapidly rising star Oscar Isaac (DRIVE), recording star and actor Ruben Blades (SAFE HOUSE), Bruce Greenwood (STAR TREK, SUPER 8), Nestor Carbonell (THE DARK NIGHT RISES), Bruce McGill (LINCOLN), Santiago Cabrera (³Heroes,² CHE), Oscar®-nominated Catalina Sandino Moreno (MARIA FULL OF GRACE) and Eduardo Verástegui (BELLA).

Shooting on historic locations throughout Mexico, the equally accomplished behind the scenes team includes director of photography Eduardo Martinez Solares (BAD HABITS), Oscar®-nominated editor Richard Francis-Bruce (THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, SEVEN, HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER¹S STONE), production designer Salvador Parra (VOLVER) and Oscar®-winning composer James Horner (AVATAR, TITANIC, BRAVEHEART).

A Message From a Friend

Friday, May 25th, 2012

I received this from a friend on Facebook. I was so touched by her testimony and it came at just the right time when I needed a little encouragement that the work I was doing was helping others. I Praise God and thank Him for what He had done and is doing in the life of this yourn woman and others that I’m not even aware of. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!

Shared with you with permission…

I had been thinking seriously about putting my testimony of the day I received confirmation of my salvation! The day I repented and accepted The Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. You are a part of it! The part you played is that I heard you speaking on Moody Radio on Sept 4 2008 ..the part that grabbed me was when you spoke about “what the Kingdom of God is going to look like” , The “kingdom of God” my future I prayed and dwelt on just that part of your talk day at work listening to John McArthur something just clicked. I started to weep and had to leave work …I knew the Lord had a hold of me and I had to get somewhere…I called my husband on the cell phone and told him something was happening to me, that the Lord was pricking my heart. We both cried as I walked to my car…he said so many had been praying for my salvation …I told him I had to go pray somewhere and would call him back. I drove to an empty Hobby Lobby parking lot near my work and looked up out of the window of the car and it was as if the heavens had opened up to me. The sky was the same, a beautiful blue, but there was such a feeling of connection. I repented of sins that came to mind and looked up and said, “You are My Lord and Savior whatever you want me to do I am yours!” ….you see I was a Catholic for over 40 yrs very devout church attendee so I did believe in The Trinity I just had never actually died to myself and accepted the Bible as the whole truth word of God! Amazing how ever since that day I have the confidence that I will be in the Kingdom!! I followed up with Baptism on Feb 1 2009. Ms. Alveda I just wanted you to know how much you have impacted my life from that one phrase! I have searched and cannot find what Moody show you were on…I thought it was Chris Fabry or Focus on the family I just can’t find it! I so wish I had it to listen to again. Would love it if you would confirm receipt of my message. Your Sister in Christ . . .

Am I Unemployable in the Spirit Realm?

Friday, April 27th, 2012

During my morning meditation, reading a message from Oswald Chambers, a point really stood out: “There are some people who are totally unemployable in the spirit realm. They are spiritually feeble and weak and they refuse to do anything unless they are supernaturally inspired… If you make a god out of your best moments, you will find that God will fade out of your life . . .”

In the midst of all of the national concerns about the economy and unemployment and excess spending, I suddenly find myself wondering if I am spiritually employed? I also have to check my heart often to determine if I am making the work I do take the place of my time and relationship with God? Prolife work is very demanding, and we can find ourselves consumed by our “good works.” Yet, the question “can God use me,” is always there. Do I worship the mission and the mission for life? Or do I worship God?

Too often, the temptation to give all to the prolife ministry reaches into my true desire, to be close to God. Am I saying that we should stop doing our ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our prolife work? Of course not! When God calls us to stand for the unborn, the sick, the elderly and the least of these, we must answer!

Worshipping God, and allowing God to direct us in our work, vocations and ministries is so liberating. When we concentrate on our relationship with God, our responsibility becomes staying in constant touch with God! And He empowers us to do the prolife work!

Then, we don’t decide when to come and when to go, God decides that for us! God engineers everything, and when He directs us, our goal should be to “pour out our lives in wholehearted devotion to Him” in our prolife work.

Fr. Pavone To LCWR: Priests for Life Will Work “Side by Side” With Women Religious To Proclaim A Pro-Life Message

Thursday, April 19th, 2012

Date: April 19, 2012

Contact: Leslie Palma

STATEN ISLAND, NY — Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, issued the following comment today on the Vatican’s assessment of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR):

“As a pro-life ministry dedicated to fully activating the Church to end abortion and euthanasia, Priests for Life is grateful to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith for the assessment it has issued of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, and in particular for pointing out the problem of silence regarding abortion and the right to life.”

Following a two-year investigation into the LCWR, the Vatican concluded, in part, that, “while there has been a great deal of work on the part of LCWR promoting issues of social justice in harmony with the church’s social doctrine, it is silent on the right to life from conception to natural death.”

Responding to that finding, Father Pavone said, “Priests for Life has the highest regard for the women religious in the Church and the consecration they have made to God of their lives. We want to work side by side with them and support them in the pro-life dimensions of their life and ministry. We therefore encourage the LCWR and all its members to make the right to life a clear and constant aspect of the message they proclaim to the world.”

Father Pavone concluded: “As we have often pointed out, the very act of consecrating one’s life to God strikes at the heart of the culture of death. While the culture of death proclaims, ‘I have the right to choose,’ the religious life proclaims, ‘My life and choices belong to God, and there is where I find true freedom.’ ”
