The Pen is a Key

Friday, May 5th, 2017

From the historic White House Rose Garden, President Trump said: “Freedom is a gift from God” in observance of the 2017 National Day of Prayer; he was joined by Leaders of Faith to sign Executive Order Protecting Religious Liberty.

“When President Trump released the historic pen used to sign the historic Freedom of Religion Act in honor of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. yesterday, there was a united prayer for revival released around the world simultaneously. Please pray with us as you read some “takeaways” from your eyewitness on the ground.” – Evangelist Alveda King

1. Two prophetic women were given the pens which POTUS used to restore religious liberty and speech to America: Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

2. POTUS will visit 3 seats of religious authority on his first international journey; Saudi Arabia, Israel and The Vatican. John 3:16 says, “God so loved the world”; this journey will seek out the connections among Ishmael and Isaac; both sons of Abraham while seats of the ancient roots of religion are being tapped. Ephesians 4:5-6: For THE LORD JEHOVAH is One, and the faith is one, and the baptism is one; and One is God The Father of all, and over all, and with all and in us all.

3. POTUS said: “Freedom is a gift from God.” The pen granted to honor MLK is a key urging us to live together as brothers and sisters rather than perishing as fools. MLK was a Christian preacher. Acts 17:26 says we are one blood, one [human] race.

4. On the same day that POTUS signed these executive orders, the US House of Representatives dealt a blow to death care in America with passage of the American Health Care Act.

Perhaps the song says it best: “To God be the Glory.” Pray for America.

Fr. Pavone Thanks Donald Trump for Key Message to Christians

Monday, June 13th, 2016

Date: June 13, 2016

Contact: Leslie Palma

NEW YORK — Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, thanked Donald Trump today for the speech he gave on Friday, June 10 at the Faith and Freedom Conference in Washington, D.C. In the speech, he hit on themes of key concerns to Christians. Mr. Trump acknowledged, at the outset of his remarks, the presence of Fr. Frank and other key religious leaders in the audience.

Fr. Frank stated, “Mr. Trump was crystal clear about the need to defend and promote the sanctity of life, to preserve the institution of marriage, to appoint pro-life judges, and to protect religious liberty. In fact, he mentioned explicitly the efforts of some to “restrict religious liberty with government mandates.” Priests for Life was among the first group to challenge the HHS mandate in court, and our case went all the way to the Supreme Court and is still unresolved.

“I also appreciate Mr. Trump’s assertion, “We will protect the right of Churches to speak their minds on political matters, free from intimidation.” This is the key message of my book Abolishing Abortion, in which I call on the Church to abandon the self-censorship that is so prevalent and so unnecessary, even within the current structure of the law.”

After his speech, Fr. Frank, along with other key religious leaders who were present, greeted Mr. Trump and thanked him for his stand on these issues of critical importance.

When a Nation Becomes Obsolete

Friday, March 15th, 2013

A few days ago, a person who is a highly respected professional shared a series of blogs with me. The title of the first article, “With no more cotton to pick, what will America do with 40 million black people?” resonated in my being, again. Mark Crutcher of Life Dynamics asks virtually the same question in his best selling documentary Maafa 21. I found this observation chilling in Maafa 21, and just as disturbing by this new release of information in the blog series.

The article starts out by saying that “America is now getting out of the Black people business.” Well, in the African American community, we have known this little secret piece of news for years. Once slavery was over, our people became a burden rather than the high premium free labor we had been during slavery days.

The African American community is a nation within the nation called America. Often, we are still treated as second class citizens. Of course, in Christ we can ultimately agree that there is one human race, and all human beings, born and unborn are created equal, and endowed by our Creator, God, with certain inalienable rights.

In my own testimony as an African American woman, I experienced racial targeting by the abortion industry. I talk about it in my book, How Can The Dream Survive If We Murder The Children? (Also available from your local book retailer)

While we are waiting for America and indeed the world to get this memo, perhaps you will find some of the information in these pages of interest.

More Prayers and Support for Israel

Friday, September 14th, 2012

Alveda with (left to right) daughter Jennifer, son Eddie and wife Ebonie, Deputy Speaker of the Knesset Molla and Consul General Aviran.

Last Sunday, I was invited by my good and refreshing friend Linda Dean to a reception for supporters of Israel. Linda is a faithful woman of God. I can’t thank her enough for remembering me.

I told Linda about my trip to Israel with Minister Victoria Hearst of Praise Him Ministries and Pastor John Peyton of Reconciliation Community Church. You can see that visit on Frontlines at

So you can imagine that I felt quite at home at the Israel reception in a lovely private Atlanta home. The special guests were Consul General Opher Aviran and the keynote speaker, Deputy Speaker of the Knesset Shlomo Molla M. K.

Can you imagine my joy at hearing the testimony of a man who was among the Ethiopian Jews returning to Israel in 1983? It was just heart stirring! There were two waves of the exodus back then: Much of the Beta Israel community returned home from Ethiopia to Israel during two tremendous waves of Diaspora mounted by the Israeli government – “Operation Moses” (1984) and during “Operation Solomon” (1991). Mr. Molla, Deputy Speaker of the Knesset was part of the first stages of Operation Moses.

As part of the delegation, he and his childhood friend experienced many trials as they crossed the desert and jungles to get to Israel. Upon their arrival, they were greeted by Sudanese gunfire, and his friend was killed. After being imprisoned for 91 days, the brave and courageous young Mr. Molla was released; and today he lives to lead his people and tell his remarkable story; available at

So friends, get out and support this film. The first weekend is always the most critical. Hollywood will make the movies we show them we want to see by our patronage. Let’s show Hollywood we want more family friendly films.

My good friend C. L. Bryant’s new movie, RUNAWAY SLAVE, is finally being released on July 27, 2012 in selected theatres.

Here is what they say on their website about the movie:

As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in the summer of 1963, he delivered one of the most powerful speeches in our nation’s history. Known for its famous line, “I have a dream,” Dr. King concluded his speech with these words:

“And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, ‘Free at last, free at last! Thank God Almighty, we’re free at last!'”

Now, nearly a half-century later, has his dream become reality? Have we allowed freedom to truly ring? Or has that longed-for freedom somehow become even more elusive?

In RUNAWAY SLAVE, an intriguing new documentary that opens in theaters this summer, Rev. C.L. Bryant journeys across America to find answers. A one-time NAACP local chapter president, Rev. Bryant discovers that by buying into the entitlement mindset of “progressives,” the black community has traded one form of tyranny for another.

Using leading black conservatives as “conductors,” Rev. Bryant believes it is time for a new Underground Railroad to help liberate all Americans from the Government plantation that has left the black community dealing with a new form of slavery: entitlements.

“Why are we still thinking we are not free at last? What ideas are keeping us down?” Rev. Bryant asks. “For too long, we have been depending on other people for our success. We have to pursue our happiness; our happiness is not provided to us. If we are relying on someone else for our wellbeing, that in itself is a form of slavery.”

From our nation’s capital and freedom’s birthplace, to the dens of slavery and Jim Crow, to wherever a light for liberty is shining, this runaway slave looks to bring hope to the oppressed. Among the leaders he talks with along the way are Dr. King’s niece, Dr. Alveda King; former presidential candidate Herman Cain; Congressman Allen West; economist and author Dr. Thomas Sowell; talk-show host and author Glenn Beck; the late Andrew Breitbart. We also meet a new generation of young freedom fighters who are on the front lines of change!

Rev. Bryant’s conclusion? It’s time to run. “Run away from economic slavery. Run toward the blessings of liberty. Let us remain strong in this fight. Run away from socialism; run away from progressivism. And if you get tired, America … run harder!”

This summer, celebrate your freedom by running as fast and as hard as you can to see RUNAWAY SLAVE in theaters.

Here is a wonderful intervew of C. L. Bryant. Enjoy!

July 4th, Independence Day, also called the Fourth of July, is a US holiday, celebrating America’s Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, recognizing the emergence of a “free nation,” independent of the rule of the Kingdom of Great Britain. People tend to forget the sacrifice made to obtain this freedom, and the holiday is generally reduced to fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies. The more serious minded tend to lament over the loss of constitutional freedom, and other more somber issues which are often noted in various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is also the national day of the United States.

Another holiday, not so broadly noted, and lacking in an official national stamp of approval is Juneteenth, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.

Originating in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865, the observance of June 19th as the African American Emancipation Day has spread across the United States and beyond. The National Black Prolife Coalition celebrated Juneteenth 2012 with the launch of our new book LIFE AT ALL COSTS.

These two noted holidays remind us that freedom is hard won, and is truly never “free.” People fight and die for freedom. Today, there is still a battle for liberty being waged. The battle is being fought in the wombs of women, in the lives of the sick and elderly. Abortion and euthanasia still hold American’s captive. Procreative marriage and the family are also under siege. You can read about this in the new King for America book FROM STUMBLING BLOCKS OT BUILDING BLOCKS.

In closing, let me wish you a very Happy Independence Day, and remind you to pray for the babies and the least of these.

“For Greater Glory”: Opening in Theatres June 1, 2012

Wednesday, May 30th, 2012

I recently attending a screening of “For Greater Glory” in Spain and it was stirring, thought provoking, and pivotal. Bringing the reality of how man’s humanity to man crumbles in the wake of faith, hope and love. Highly recommended.

A historical and relevant voice in the 21st century battle for religious freedom. You must see it when it comes out. It is incredible.

What price would you pay for freedom? In the exhilarating action epic FOR GREATER GLORY an impassioned group of men and women each make the decision to risk it all for family, faith and the very future of their country, as the film’s adventure unfolds against the long-hidden, true story of the 1920s Cristero War the daring people¹s revolt that rocked 20th Century North America.

Academy Award® nominee Andy Garcia headlines an acclaimed cast as General Gorostieta, the retired military man who at first thinks he has nothing personal at stake as he and his wife (Golden Globe nominee Eva Longoria) watch Mexico fall into a violent civil war. Yet the man who hesitates in joining the cause will soon become the resistance’s most inspiring and self-sacrificing leader, as he begins to see the cost of religious persecution on his countrymen . . . and transforms a rag-tag band of rebels into a heroic force to be reckoned with. The General faces impossible odds against a powerful and ruthless government. Yet is those he meets on the journey youthful idealists, feisty renegades and, most of all, one remarkable teenager named Jose who reveal to him how courage and belief are forged even when justice seems lost.

Director Dean Wright brings a visual power honed from years as a leading Hollywood effects guru on such blockbusters as TITANIC, THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy and CHRONICLES OF NARNIA to this real-life tale that has never been told on screen before. The film is written by Michael Love. The producer is Pablo Jose Barroso. Garcia and Longoria lead a stellar multinational cast that includes the legendary Peter O¹Toole, rapidly rising star Oscar Isaac (DRIVE), recording star and actor Ruben Blades (SAFE HOUSE), Bruce Greenwood (STAR TREK, SUPER 8), Nestor Carbonell (THE DARK NIGHT RISES), Bruce McGill (LINCOLN), Santiago Cabrera (³Heroes,² CHE), Oscar®-nominated Catalina Sandino Moreno (MARIA FULL OF GRACE) and Eduardo Verástegui (BELLA).

Shooting on historic locations throughout Mexico, the equally accomplished behind the scenes team includes director of photography Eduardo Martinez Solares (BAD HABITS), Oscar®-nominated editor Richard Francis-Bruce (THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, SEVEN, HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER¹S STONE), production designer Salvador Parra (VOLVER) and Oscar®-winning composer James Horner (AVATAR, TITANIC, BRAVEHEART).
