In an article at The American Conservative, Professor Gavin Ahern of Xavier College Prep is in the spotlight for bringing up the controversial topic of abortion and genocide to his students. The open letter below is intended to commend and encourage Professor Ahern, his colleagues, peers, students and all people of goodwill to continue to shed light regarding the sanctity of life.

Along these same lines, we are getting more and more reports regarding gag orders on educators who have the courage to speak out regarding the injustice, of the current one sided imbalance and intolerance regarding freedom of speech regulations.

The popular movie series GOD’S NOT DEAD and a growing pool of other movies explore the role of educators like Professor Ahern who are swimming upstream in today’s culture war. Please support this movement at Movie Guide.

Finally, please join us at CRU (Civil Rights for the Unborn) in encouraging Professor Ahern and indeed all educators to speak the truth even in the face of the onslaught of political correctness.

Dear Mr. Ahern,

I am writing you because I read about the recent controversy surrounding the flyer which you distributed to your students about abortion and the black genocide going on in our country today. I applaud you for your courage to share the truth with your students. The opposition, the abortion industry, has flooded society with so many lies for so long about what abortion really is and how it affects our society, that when someone takes a stance against them, it seems like everyone comes down on you. I was encouraged to read that the faculty is standing behind you and not letting pressure from the community dictate their actions.

As you may know, I work with Fr. Frank Pavone at Priests for Life. As a nondenominational Christian, I highly regard the Catholic Church’s teaching on abortion and contraception. In a time where so many colleges are extending invitations to pro-abortion public figures to speak to the students, it is refreshing to know that you are standing up and teaching your students the truth.

Also, your compassion is evident in your providing insight to the female students to bring them awareness of the dangers of abortions and hyper sexuality which is being marketed to them on a daily basis through television, peer pressure, and all the political posturing over “women’s reproductive health.” Abortion is not healthcare.

I encourage you to stand firm in your conviction to spread the truth about abortion and help protect our young women from falling into the deceptive harmful trap of the abortion lies.

If there is anything I can do to help, please don’t hesitate to contact me through my assistant, Eugene Vigil at Please be assured of our prayers and support.

The Tip of the PP Iceberg. What Lies Below the Surface of the Water is More Evil and More of Our Tax Dollars

Planned Parenthood (PP) has certainly been in the news as of late. The videos by the Center for Medical Progress have exposed an extremely sadistic side of PP that most people outside of the Pro-Life Movement never knew about.

Now there are cries from so many people, even presidential candidates like Ted Cruz, to defund PP. One presidential candidate said PP isn’t all bad, but he is against abortion. On some level, at least 17 presidential candidates are decrying the PP abortion/harvesting agenda.

As an evangelist and a civil rights voice, a Black post-abortive mother born into a pro-life family, I’m sounding the alarm.

What many people don’t understand is that if you are willfully killing pre-born babies and even born alive babies, and are actively working to expand that aspect of your business then you’re willing to do anything, even breaking the law, to make more money. That’s the legacy of PP founder Margaret Sanger. Thanks to her, PP is America’s largest abortion provider and apparently a major harvester of human body products.

Abortion in an intrinsic evil; It only stands to reason that any organization involved in abortions would also be involved in other evil acts.

Although many of the programs PP administers sound good on the surface, like the harvesting of baby body parts for “research,” they must be looked at under the microscope of their overall anti-procreative philosophy.

As American Life League noted on their STOPP website:

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) has, since 1970, pushed for sex education in public schools. In 1986, its president, Faye Wattleton, stated that PPFA had established a goal of getting kindergarten through twelfth grade sex education mandated in every school district in the nation. Planned Parenthood sees sex education as a way of indoctrinating our children with PP’s philosophies-philosophies that include the acceptance of abortion and deviant sexual practices, philosophies that are in direct opposition to the teachings of most churches in this country.

As it stands now, PP receives over half a billion, that’s right, half a billion, of tax-payer dollars through Title X Family Planning grants. This is the figure that gets thrown out when most people discuss defunding PP. Yet it is a very subtle as yet attack on natural human sexuality, procreation, marriage and family.

Consequently, what most people don’t talk about and what too many are unaware of are the additional millions of dollars, such as over $5 million according to Life Dynamics, they receive in grant monies for their educational programs, like teen pregnancy prevention, sex education, abstinence, and other such programs. They sound like good programs until, as I stated earlier, you look at them in context to their philosophy –“a way of indoctrinating our children with PP’s philosophies-philosophies that include the acceptance of abortion and deviant sexual practices.”

Another report states that the Office of Adolescent Health (OAH), which is under the Department of Health and Human Services, just gave PP of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands $18.75 million in federal grant funding.

And it doesn’t stop there. PP gets federal and state funding, as well as hefty funding from the private sector to advance their anti-birth anti-family agenda. Their “three headed monster approach” is deadly.

If you don’t believe the truth about PP’s philosophy, take a look at this video report from 2012 entitled, “Hooking Kids on Sex II”. It shows how PP uses a similar method employed by drug dealers to get kids hooked on sex which will ultimately lead to unintended pregnancies because a certain percent of contraceptives fail which means more abortion business for them. The popular Prolife “Blood Money” video confirms this practice.

Using the frog in the hot water analogy, PP has managed to bring the water to a boil to our peril. If you put a frog into a pot of boiling water it will jump right out but put it in a pot of cold water and he or she is content to swim around, testing the water. Then as you turn up the heat slowly, but eventually the frog boils to death not being any the wiser. Well, that’s what PP is doing.

The selling of baby parts for profit is not the only thing PP does that should make you cringe. There is a lot more going on beneath the surface of this evil organization. We’re at the boiling point now but the warming of the water has been going on for years and many didn’t even pay attention. Goodness, there are still so many not paying attention. I hope people wake up before the fabric of our marriages and families erodes into oblivion and society as a whole boils to death.

Although there is so much more we could say about the evils of PP let’s pause with this one note. Just like a little arsenic in a glass of hot chocolate, millions of abortions makes PP a business that the federal government does not need to be funding with our tax dollars.

Teacher Under Siege Over Planned Parenthood Debacle

Monday, November 11th, 2013

131111 Blog Image1

Bill Diss has a passion for teaching young students. He has risked and sacrificed much of his life to make a difference in the lives of his students. Parents extol his efforts, youngsters cherish his role as a mentor in their lives. Yet school authorities are making a grandstand effort to tar and feather him. His teaching license is being challenged because he advises his students to make healthy choices which don’t include the agenda being forced upon students by Planned Parenthood and other agencies who promote “free sex” and similar agendas.

Mr. Diss and indeed all teachers who genuinely care about teaching and empowering students with the ability to think, learn and live long and healthy, and productive lives need our help. If you live in the area, please attend the November 14, hearing where charges are being brought against him. If not, please call or write the authorities to demand justice for Bill and his students and their families who appreciate him.

One student wrote: “Mr. Diss has done a lot for me and my family and there is no way that we could ever repay him. I believe that the world is in desperate need of good, honest people. If Mr. Diss gets his teaching license revoked, then that will only take another good source of help from the students.”

My friend Paul Rondeau, noted columnist and commentator writes in Washington Times:

“Bill Diss is an experienced, highly qualified and popular computer science teacher. On November 14, the Portland school district and Planned Parenthood will try to have him declared unfit to teach.

“Diss is the only teacher in Oregon to earn the distinction of being credentialed to teach computer science for college credit at the high school level. Diss is a highly qualified high school educator who has been teaching for more than a decade at a desperate public school that almost closed in 2010 — a school that serves a population which is 75 percent minority.”

Read the story HERE.

Paul goes on to point out that, “Diss earned special recognitions for his work with at-risk black students and for helping to stop gang violence in Portland parks. But, because he refused to allow Planned Parenthood into his classroom, school administrators branded him “unfit to teach” and intend to end his career with Portland Public Schools on November 14.

“Parents and students alike are thankful for his dedication. One parent (who holds an M.Ed.) wrote, ‘[My daughter] found a teacher that achieved tremendous balance between high expectations and accommodating individual needs.’”

“Another mother who says Diss is a gem wrote, ‘The highlight of [my son’s] day however is his math class with Mr. Diss. … It seems he goes to great lengths to make himself available for any student who needs additional help. … Mr. Diss cares enough about his students to have firm boundaries and tell them the truth, even when it hurts.’”

So, my question is this: Why are school authorities trying to destroy Mr. Diss? Why was Planned Parenthood allowed to go in and audit Mr. Diss’ classes?

Feedback to Paul’s article is very telling as a hearty repartee ensues from readers:

Reader A writes, “Mr. Diss brought his religion into the classroom. Mr. Diss’ religion belongs in his church.”

Reader B writes, “There’s a difference between you acting in accordance with your belief system, and you lecturing to a captive audience about it from a position of authority.”

Responding to Reader B, Reader C comments, “You mean like exactly what the PP reps were going to do…without parents’ knowledge? The PP people who make a profit by encouraging youngsters to engage in sex and then give them abortions when sex is not the carefree recreation they promote when things don’t quite ‘work out.’”

Reader B responds, “’[W]ere going to do’ So, we’re talking about something that didn’t happen?
‘profit by encouraging youngsters to engage in sex’ Do PP do that? Or is it our hormones that do that, and PP is just trying to facilitate information.”

Reader D then responds, “PP is trying to facilitate a market. Yes, choices that result only in ‘the choice’.

I was a teacher in a Georgia college for 19 years. I often faced persecution similar to that Bill Diss is currently experiencing. I was ordered to stop telling the students the truth. I reminded my opposition that they couldn’t pay me enough to deceive my students.

Please, let’s pray for Bill Diss, his students and their families, and indeed all educators who are being attacked for exercising their constitutional rights of freedom of speech while their adversaries are being paid by our tax dollars to distribute condoms, easy access to abortions, harmful birth control products and deceptive propaganda that will stunt the intellectual and moral development of the generations to come.

Turn About is Fair Play in the Pro-Life/Anti-Life Campaign

Friday, November 8th, 2013

“So you don’t like having the tables turned on you? Well turnabout is fair play.” (Modern translation of an ancient Proverb)

North Carolina anti-life advocates are up in arms over a youth awareness project that shared information regarding abstinence and abortion promoting race targeting tactics. According to Dr. Alveda King, director of African American Outreach for Priests for Life, and Dr. Johnny Hunter, national director of pro-life research organization L.E.A.R.N., the media and anti-life advocates are trying to stir up racial tension where none was intended.

“We need to reach out and reach in to inform young students that abortion and unnatural contraceptives are dangerous,” said Dr. King. “Black-in-reach” according to Dr. Hunter, is a “very effective strategy to stop the womb-lynching that is trying to destroy our generations.”
For decades the pro-abortion/pro-choice/anti-life camp has been targeting middle school, high school and college students as well as African Americans and Hispanics with slick marketing campaigns designed to snooker young people into using harmful chemicals and surgical procedures to prevent natural pregnancies and kill babies. Admittedly, their tactics have been pretty successful. So it isn’t surprising that they cry foul when someone beats them at their game.

Here are the facts. Street Samaritans – a charitable organization whose mission is to provide resources to help the homeless and others in need in the Lexington community were conducting a free speech demonstration near a Wake County school. They were passing out literature regarding abortion awareness when parents at Enloe High School received a call from the school about the demonstration.

Outside students were handed literature, some with a message for boys and girls, some with articles written by leading African American civil rights leaders. Inside that “Did You Know?” pamphlet was a message from Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The local news affiliate questioned the students and reported that some said the literature they received from the “Street Samaritans” was different from what others received.

The ministry group displayed pro-life posters and promoted abstinence as well as passing out materials from Human Life Alliance. Bill Schultz, Street Samaritans’ director, told ABC11 that they separately distributed pamphlets to the ethnic groups in order to reach students in a real way.

“We decided we have to get out ahead of their decision making where they find themselves in a circumstance,” said Schultz.

Reportedly some students told ABC11 they found the tactics very offending, saying they wish the message was promoted across the board and not by race. In response, Dr. King pointed out that “Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider who collects US tax dollars to run their awareness campaigns, also designs various materials to appeal to demographic groups according to age, gender, economic status and ethnicity. While such an approach isn’t unusual, I’m sure that there is nothing in either HLA magazine distributed by Street Samaritans that is designed to offend anyone. In fact, the students have been exchanging the materials and enjoying healthy discussions which surely is the goal of Street Samaritans,” she concluded.

Street Samaritans plans to hold another rally at a Wake County school next month where they will distribute all the materials to everyone, regardless of ethnicity or other human distinctions. They have not yet decided which school they will visit next.

National Education Association Pro-Abortion Stance Is Deadly For Students

Tuesday, June 18th, 2013
Student's First Teacher

Student’s First Teacher

You would think that an organization whose mission is “to advocate for education professionals and to unite our members and the nation to fulfill the promise of public education to prepare every student to succeed in a diverse and interdependent world” would want success for every person, including the unborn because, after all, they too will be students one day. In fact, they are students as they begin learning the voice of their caretakers from inside the mother’s womb.

As Jaclyn Stewart points out in an article, “Studies show that even in the womb, your baby is listening. If you talk to your baby frequently during your pregnancy, or even just talk a lot in general, your baby will be able to recognize the sound of your voice when he[/she] his born. This is an important first step in the learning process

It is admirable for an organization to provide a “public education to prepare every student to succeed” only if it applies to ALL students.

Georgia Right to Life, in cooperation with other pro-life groups, is organizing a protest at this year’s NEA Convention in Atlanta, GA at the Georgia World Congress Center on July 1, 2013 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. The NEA Convention is June 26-July 6, 2013 with some 16,000 members expected to attend. Your help and participation is needed to show support for the youngest of students, the student learning from what should be the safest schools of all, free from violence; free from discrimination; a smoke free environment; and provided with healthy meals.

Georgia Right to Life points out on their website that,

Lurking beneath this admirable mission, however, lays a deceptive family planning resolution, as follows:

“The National Education Association supports family planning, including the right to reproductive freedom.
The Association urges the government to give high priority to making available all methods of family planning to women and men unable to take advantage of private facilities.
The Association also urges the implementation of community-operated, school-based family planning clinics that will provide intensive counseling by trained personnel.”

At the 1998 NEA Assembly in New Orleans, LA, a first time delegate asked the following 3-part question (from the resolution above) at the microphone:

• Through the words “reproductive freedom” in our Resolutions document, does the NEA support the choice to abort after the first trimester?

Response from the chair: Yes.

• Through the words “reproductive freedom” in our Resolutions document, does the NEA support a woman’s choice to abort after viability?

Response from the chair: Yes.

• Through the words “reproductive freedom” in our Resolutions document, does the NEA support the decision to abort up to, and including delivery, commonly termed by the media a “partial birth abortion?”

Response from the chair: We have NO limitations.

According to their website, their vision is a great public school for every student offering equal opportunity. By equal opportunity they “believe public education is the gateway to opportunity. All students have the human and civil right to a quality public education that develops their potential, independence, and character.” [Emphasis added]

The NEA espouses great sounding rhetoric like “We believe public education is vital to building respect for the worth, dignity, and equality of every individual in our diverse society” while with the other hand committing $60 million for President Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012, the most pro-abortion president in America’s history.

If you live in Atlanta and you believe that ALL students, born and unborn, deserve a quality education, public or private, show your support by coming out to the Georgia World Congress Center July 1 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Stand with other like minded teachers, students, mothers, fathers, clergy, and other pro-lifers to demand that the NEA remain neutral on the issue of abortion. If you can’t come for the full four hours, come when you can. If you can’t come or you don’t live in Atlanta, please spend some time praying for those that will show up and for the NEA, that they will stand for life in addition to education of our children.

Looking Ahead to Next Year

Monday, November 19th, 2012

The year 2013 will mark the 40th commemoration of Roe V. Wade and the 50th Anniversary of the “I Have a Dream” speech.

Interestingly enough we’re just now celebrating the 50th anniversary of the James Bond movie series as well. Yours truly happened to have gone to see the latest Bond movie, Skyfall, and I found it poignant and current.

I also note that in many of the television programs now and things like that, we had a brief cycle where you had the question of abortion and a woman’s right to choose come up in the music, movies and television programming,

And now the homosexual agenda is kind of prevalent with men saying that they’re married to men and women saying they’re married to women.

So, my question now becomes, “Where do we go from here in 2013?

Certainly we have an actual obligation and we should take it up joyfully and energetically to continue to advance the message of life and the message of natural family values which includes marriage between one man and one woman, good education for our children, and lifestyles for those that we love being chaste and living lives that express agape love.

If you look at the book of Revelations in the Bible, we are living in the end times and we should be preparing ourselves. But our message of eternity, salvation, and love of Jesus Christ should continue to be front and center in our messaging. And so our end goal should be, not only to be convincing people to appreciate the sanctity of life and not abort babies and to support natural family planning and marriage, but to accept Jesus Christ as the loving Lord who desires to bless us all.

People need education and jobs – not abortions! Defund Planned Parenthood!

Monday, October 22nd, 2012

When asked about what we should do with the one million dollars per day tax money that Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider receives, I keep waiting for someone to say PEOPLE NEED JOBS, NOT ABORTIONS! What’s wrong with defunding Planned Parenthood and using that annual $365 multi-million dollar entitlement they’ve been getting to give states the opportunity to help students, families and struggling individuals in need of jobs?

Let’s say each participating state receives $7 million to extend the K-12 education system to K-14; assist matriculating families with children and allow for career centers that would work with employers in placing graduates in jobs. An extra motivation could be creative tax incentives to hiring companies. That’s about $350 million dollars, with $15 million left for a lean administrative/accountability budget.

Such a plan would guarantee associate degrees for students in the fields of technology, trade vocations, arts and science and the like. A plan like this would bolster the economy, and offer young Americans hope in the form of scholarships and or jobs instead of abortions—is that a novel or farfetched thought?

For the naysayers who would suggest that the population in need would be better served with abortions and dangerous chemical birth control, let’s just say if you keep the population in need busy, productive, successful, achievement focused and hopeful, they can be encouraged to climb rather than sink into a culture of death. Why don’t we save babies in the womb and also rescue our failing educational systems?

In the late 1800’s Reverend Wesley John Gaines called for the establishment of an institution for the moral, spiritual and intellectual growth of African American boys and girls. This vision was the foundation of Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA. The school opened in 1885 soon after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. Once acclaimed, the school has suffered financial challenges over the last few years. If Morris Brown and other schools in urban areas could participate in such a plan that is being proposed, this “shot in the arm” approach could restore much needed educational stability in troubled communities.

An infusion of funds could help the schools like Morris Brown recover and continue to educate students who can grow up to make meaningful contributions to society. An infusion of funds into entry level job opportunity programs could also bolster the economy and bring hope rather than despair to the dismal landscape. The states could be invited to develop creative plans that fit their needs, and everyone would be in a win-win atmosphere created to empower our communities. No more entitlement mentality, offering free birth control and abortions. Let’s offer hope rather than death and despair!

Right now in America, instead of funding schools like Morris Brown, tax payer dollars are being used to kill women with harmful birth control drugs. Babies in the womb are also in grave danger. This leads me to remind us that PEOPLE NEED EDUCATION AND JOBS, NOT ABORTIONS!

By defunding Planned Parenthood, we could spend $365 million dollars a year on education and jobs. Yes, more jobs and school scholarships than we have right now in America. From one perspective such a plan looks like a pie in the sky pipe dream; just a drop in the proverbial bucket.

Instead of saying no, why don’t we look at the bigger picture perspective; give our children and young adults hope, not abortions and harmful birth control drugs. We have to start somewhere; this could be a new beginning. Plant a seed and watch it grow! Defund Planned Parenthood.

Let’s give people building blocks instead of stumbling blocks!
