And It’s Happening All Across Our Country

Friday, October 29th, 2010

Human beings are being treated like garbage. The dignity of human life is on the decline. Some people are looked as less than human. As you drive down many major cities you will see the “invisible” of our society, the homeless. Discussion of the homeless makes many people uncomfortable. Many go out of their way to avoid them. Many, due to their circumstances, don’t have a voice to influence their environment. They depend on others to supply their needs from food to medical care. Would you be shocked if I proposed that we just eliminate them? Kill them and then throw their bodies in a dumpster in the back of a building? You would? What would you do about it? Would you seek to have me stopped? Prosecuted and thrown in jail? What if I wasn’t talking about the homeless people across our country but instead about unborn children? Are you still outraged?

Well, that’s exactly what is happening in many cities in our nation right now. For example, according to a story from Lansing, MI, “17 [aborted fetuses] were allegedly found in a trash bin outside a Lansing women’s reproductive health clinic.” “I’m shocked by this dumping of 17 babies into a trash Dumpster in my district, and I was further appalled that this may be a legal act under Michigan law,” [Rep. Rick] Jones [R-Grand ledge] said Wednesday at a news conference.

As if it wasn’t bad enough that the lives of the unborn babies are not protected, allowing the abortionist to kill them, but to add insult to injury, or should I say death, the law makes it legal to just throw the bodies in the dumpster as medical waste like they were trash. Our society would be outraged if this was done to any other member of our society. Not only would the laws change, but the law now makes it a crime to discard a body into a dumpster. Just another sign that the unborn are not even seen as being human, which is contrary to all medical and scientific proof that they are human from the moment of conception.

We must elect officials that are going to protect life. In a few days you have a chance to make a difference in the future of our society. By voting pro-life you can infuse life into our society and into our economy. It’s important that everyone get out and vote. Don’t stay home. Be the voice of the voiceless, the unborn. Just like every baby counts; every vote counts. God Bless you and God Bless America.

Catholic Voters Get Guidance From Rome
Cardinal-designate Raymond Burke in exclusive new video interview,
“There is a discrimination which is perfectly good and just”

San Diego, October 27, 2010 – As Americans approach the eve of election week, U.S. Cardinal-designate Raymond Burke is reminding Catholics in an exclusive 25-minute video interview that they are bound in conscience to vote for political candidates who oppose aborting babies, embryonic stem cell experiments, euthanasia and so-called homosexual “marriage.”

“Millions of Catholics have no idea it’s a sin to vote for candidates who favor these grave evils, which attack the very foundations of society,” said Thomas McKenna, President of Catholic Action for Faith and Family. “This matter-of-fact, pointed interview granted to me by Archbishop Raymond Burke in Rome last week makes it very clear what the responsibility of every American Catholic will be next Tuesday.”

In recent years Archbishop Burke, who is prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, the Church’s “supreme court,” has taught repeatedly that Catholic politicians who support abortion rights may not receive Holy Communion and that Catholics who know of the politicians’ voting record on these issues cannot vote for them and retain “a clear conscience.”

McKenna interviewed Archbishop Burke in Rome on Oct. 20 literally hours after it was announced he would be elevated to Cardinal. The 25-minute interview is being released to help inform Catholic voters before the U.S. elections on Nov. 2nd. Some of the points the Archbishop makes are:

“As a bishop it’s my obligation in fact, to urge the faithful to carry out their civic duty in accord with their Catholic faith.”

“You can never vote for someone who favors absolutely the right to choice of a woman to destroy a human life in her womb or the right to a procured abortion.”

“So, the Catholic Church in teaching that sexual acts between persons of the same sex are intrinsically evil, are against nature itself, is simply announcing the truth, helping people to discriminate right from wrong in terms of their own activities.”

Today, McKenna’s will launch two five-minute videos on YouTube, and a 25-minute Q&A video interview that is available for broadcast. The three videos all feature Archbishop Burke teaching Catholics about voter responsibility, including key points from his 2004 pastoral letter, “On Our Civic Responsibility for the Common Good.” The interview can be seen at

What do abortions, HIV/AIDS, broken marriages, high school drop outs, the failing economy, and prison felons have in common?

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

America’s dream is broken. Abortion, broken marriages, high school drop outs, the failing economy, prison felons, and victims of HIV/AIDS are suffering and we need to pray for relief. We also need to vote for relief! In the upcoming election, we need to send men and women who understand that failed moral solutions lead to poverty of soul, spirit, body and pocketbook. Right now, as we communicate in cyberspace in this blog, African American leaders and lay people are pressing the White House to do something about the HIV/AIDS crisis that is adversely killing the African American community in seriously disproportionate numbers. Sound familiar? The same levels of pain and injury are occurring in all of the social categories that impact America. For instance, African Americans suffer from more abortions, divorce, high school dropout rates, incarceration levels and poverty rates.

On the HIV/AIDS front, The African American community reports that, “President Barack Obama commissioned the Office of National AIDS Policy to develop a National HIV/AIDS Strategy to fight the growing epidemic in America, but when it presented its vision in July, Black advocates noted swiftly that it was void of any policies or strategies that dealt with tackling the issue in a real way in their own communities, which are being decimated by AIDS on a daily basis.

In response, Pres. Obama’s administration gave the advocates a period of time, which expires this December, to develop and recommend methodologies, strategies, and policies they feel will meet the needs of their people. So on October 12, as part of the effort, several long-time HIV/AIDS activists and community leaders met with the people themselves at the African American Cultural Center (Us) to find out what they say should reflect a national policy on AIDS as it pertains to them.”

President Barack Obama commissioned the Office of National AIDS Policy to develop a National HIV/AIDS Strategy to fight the growing epidemic in America, but when it presented its vision in July, Black advocates noted swiftly that it was void of any policies or strategies that dealt with tackling the issue in a real way in their own communities, which are being decimated by AIDS on a daily basis…

The thing is, if our elected officials don’t find the courage to call things as they are and as they should be, we’ll keep floundering, and people, including babies in the womb, will continue to die, to get sick, to drop out of school and to be victims of poverty.

The social ills all have two things in common, they are killing people right now, and they can be healed by praying, God fearing people who will vote for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for ALL. Please think about this when you go to the polls next week.

The Ridiculousness Of The Argument

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

I get a lot of email everyday with information about everything having to do with a host of topics from pro-life issues to politics. Although I have taken myself out of the political arena, I still like to keep abreast of what is happening so I can make an educated vote. But as for email regarding pro-life issues, I like to delve into those much deeper and speak to issues that need to be brought to people’s attention. Even though I don’t get a chance to read every single one of them, I pay particular attention to those dealing with abortion as that is what I’ve felt most led by the Holy Spirit to address.

Now normally when someone hears the word “abortion” one thinks about an already pregnant woman going to a doctor and either having a medical or a chemical abortion whereby she aborts and already developing baby, usually anywhere from a few weeks to as far along as 26 weeks. Not too many people consider the other kind of abortions that probably occurs for more often but is never counted in the statistics collected by medical agencies. I’m talking about abortive contraception. Not the contraception that prevents the fertilization of an egg but the contraceptive medications that stops a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus or ones that abort an already implanted fertilized egg.

Today I read an email about a webcast entitled “What They Won’t Tell You About ella and Abortion.” So I did some research which led me to an article about the newly approved morning after pill, ella, that is supposed to be a new wonder pill, an improved version of Plan B. In the article featured on “the Stir, a cafemom Blog,” written by Amy Kuras, Amy poses such flawed arguments as, “ella only works for five days after unprotected sex, and because of that you’ll never know if there was a fertilized egg in play or not. And a fertilized egg, without implanting in the uterus, does not a baby make. Essentially what ella does is cover the bases a little better than Plan B, which only remains fully effective for three days after unprotected sex, if you happened to have an oops encounter while you were ovulating.”, “[s]o what if it does block implantation of a fertilized egg?” and “[w]omen who are taking emergency contraception emphatically, seriously, absolutely do not want to get pregnant.” And then she goes on to compare real people to a movie character and a television character. Then, immediately states that maybe it is a tragedy “[i]f you believe life begins the minute sperm meets egg.” Although an advocate for reproductive choice, Amy makes a better argument for life.

First she states that it doesn’t matter if you abort a baby if you don’t know that that baby actually exists as if that would make it okay. I can just see the legal arguments for the bombing of a mall, “but your honor, when I detonated the bomb, I didn’t know if there were any people in there.” Not sure that would fly. Whether you know or don’t know that your aborting a baby doesn’t detract from the fact that the baby is being aborted.

Then there’s the “a fertilized egg, without implanting in the uterus, does not a baby make” argument which is false on its face. As Jennifer Mason points out in her article, Wikipedia states that “Development begins with fertilization, the process by which the male gamete, the sperm cell, and the female gamete, the egg, fuse to produce a zygote.” And she further states that “a new human being – a person – is present from the beginning of biological development, which very clearly means the fusion of sperm and oocyte, when, as world-renowned geneticist Dr. Jerome LeJeune stated, “After fertilization has taken place a new human being has come into being. [It] is no longer a matter of taste or opinion…it is plain experimental evidence. Each individual has a very neat beginning, at conception.” Later she then admits that it could be a tragedy “[i]f you believe life begins the minute sperm meets egg. It’s not a matter of believing but a matter of truth, a fact.

And an “oops encounter?” What is that all about? Oops, I accidentally had unprotected sex. Oops I accidentally got pregnant. She’s not talking about running into someone as you round a corner, that’s an “oops encounter.” Asking that person to have sex with her is not an “oops encounter.” Do we in our society lack that much self-control that we are now referring to having sex as an “oops encounters?”

Next, the fact that “[w]omen who are taking emergency contraception emphatically, seriously, absolutely do not want to get pregnant” is not a good reason for taking the stand that taking an abortive pill is okay. Now if you want to argue that they maybe should not engage in sexual encounters that would lead to pregnancy, then I’m behind you all the way. But lacking the self-control to have sex and then aborting a baby that may result from that “oops encounter” is not even remotely okay.

And finally, Amy states that the option of killing a baby is preferable and that “the greater tragedy would be children brought into the world unwanted and unloved.” The first falsehood is that the birth of a child is a tragedy. Children are gifts of love from our creator, not a tragedy. Secondly, even if the mother does not want or love the baby, there are plenty of families that wound not only want and love that baby but are constantly praying for the opportunity to have or adopt a baby. There is no such thing as an unwanted and unloved child. The only tragedy is the taking of that child’s life through abortion, whether in the doctor’s office/clinic or at home the day after he/she is conceived.

What Amy didn’t mention are the possible side effects of using birth control, especially, chemical birth control, like ella, which are numerous and staggering. The facts that they don’t want you to know can be read here. Some say that ella works similar to the abortion pill, Ru-486. Information on this is also given at this website.

The elections are just 7 days away and a chance to elect those that would fight for all human rights, even the most vulnerable in our society, the unborn. Vote pro-life. God Bless you all and God Bless America!

The Difference Between The NAACP And The NAAPC

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

The NAACP, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, on their website, states, “Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization. From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight for social justice for all Americans.”

The NAACP, although their name suggests they are helping only Black people, they actually help protect the civil rights of all Americans, regardless of race, according to their statement above. According to their website’s history, “ The NAACP was formed partly in response to the continuing horrific practice of lynching and the 1908 race riot in Springfield, the capital of Illinois…” and today most view the organization as mostly advocating for the Black community, or at least for the Black community that is this side of the womb. While still in the womb, according to the NAACP, neither Black children nor American children have value, except to the abortionists who made a hefty profit every time they kill one of them. The life of the mother has more value than the life of the unborn child, so much so that she may choose to kill that child if it interferes with her life style or plans.

The NAAPC, National Association for the Advancement of Preborn Children, on their website, states, “The National Association for the Advancement of Preborn Children advocates through education for the equal humanity and personhood of the preborn child from the moment of conception (fertilization). This includes “Children in Vitro” conceived by the new science of in vitro fertilization, which substitutes a tube of glass (the test tube) for a tube of flesh (the fallopian tube) in which conception of the very tiny new human being occurs. It is our goal to bring justice to preborn children and to help educate people about their equal humanity and personhood.”

Unlike the NAACP, the NAAPC is fighting for the rights of ALL preborn children, regardless of age, color, ethnicity, gender, or who your parents are. They do not exclude anyone. If you are preborn, they’re fighting for your right to life so that you can then enjoy the civil rights that the NAACP is fighting to preserve. Without the NAAPC, the rights that the NAACP is fighting for don’t mean a thing, at least to the unborn that don’t get to live, especially if one of those rights is the right to kill your baby if you so choose.

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

In honor of the true spirit of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, wear the Silent No More Awareness pin instead of the pink ribbon touted by Susan G. Komen and other Planned Parenthood supporting organizations. Breast cancer is linked to abortion and artificial birth control methods. We must be Silent No More…

The Nature of Good and Evil

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21

What do we mean by “good” and “evil?” To determine this we need to look to an authority on the subject, God. God has instilled in all of us a human nature that helps up to know if something we are doing is good or evil, right or wrong. We know it by how it makes us feel. When you do something good you feel proud, good, and you aren’t ashamed of it but if you do something evil, you feel bad, ashamed, and sorrowful.

In the Bible there are many references to good and evil to help us know how we should live our lives.

“Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” Psalms 34:15

“Beloved, do not imitate evil 8 but imitate good. Whoever does what is good is of God; whoever does what is evil has never seen God.” 3 John: 11

“Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” Psalms 37:27

“You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth. Selah” Psalms 52:3

“Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.” Proverbs 14:22

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Isaiah 5:20
The verses go on and on. These are but a few that compare good and evil. Good is compared to peace, godly, truth, love, faithfulness, light, sweet while evil is compared to godless, falsehood, going astray, darkness, bitter. Clearly good is preferable than evil. Not just preferable but God in constantly telling us to choose good over evil.

“Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is.” Amos 56:14

Clearly good leads to life while evil leads to death.

“Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?”” Luke 6:9

In this passage, Jesus equates good to the saving of a life and equates evil to the destruction of life.

We also equate good with God and evil with Satan. We say that there is a battle going on today between good and evil (God and Satan), America and terrorism. Although we’re not sure who will win the America/terrorism war, we have already been assured who will win the God/Satan war because Jesus said in Matthew 16:18, “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Satan is face down on the ground sucking dirt, he just doesn’t know it.

Jesus defeated evil at Calvary, and on those three days when He invaded Hell and overthrew Satan’s kingdom. We have the victory in the battle for life, we just have to stay focused and fight God’s way, with His weapons, the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and with faith, hope, and love. Love will help us win others to our side.

What side are the pro-lifers on and what side are the pro-aborts on? What side are you on? Life or death? Good or Evil?

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights of the Unborn

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

“The Negro cannot win if he is willing to sacrifice the futures of his children for immediate personal comfort and safety. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 1929-1968

“I say today that we as Christians must press on, in the conviction that we are “a colony of heaven,” called to obey God rather than man. Small in number, we must remain big in commitment. We must be too God intoxicated to be “astronomically intimidated.” By our effort and example may God use us, as imperfect vessels that we are, to bring an end to such ancient evils as infanticide, abortion, racism and oppression.” Dr. Alveda C. King reflections on Letter from a Birmingham Jail.

In 1939, Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, outlined her plan to eliminate the Black community: “The most successful, educational appeal to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their rebellious members.”

Dr. King was among a select group of Negro leaders, hand picked to promote a seemingly beneficial plan to promote healthy family planning. It was a plan of wolf in sheep’s clothing, and Trojan Horse proportions. Dr. King, a man of love, peace, non-violence and strong Christian faith would be assassinated before the truth of the Planned Parenthood map for genocide would be made public after the passage of Roe VS Wade. The abortion agenda is in direct conflict with the teachings of Dr. King.

In 1966, Martin Luther King, Jr., a non-violent supporter of natural family planning, was offered the Planned Parenthood Margaret Sanger Award. In the acceptance speech, delivered by Mrs. Coretta Scott King, because Dr. King didn’t attend the ceremony, Mrs. King points to the benefits of family planning among Negro families and the “kinship” between the civil rights movement and Margaret Sanger’s early efforts. This speech did not include the word abortion. There is much speculation regarding who the real author of the speech was. During her lifetime, Mrs. King, unlike her husband, supported abortion and a more liberal view on marriage and human sexuality.

As Dr. King’s niece, I too once accepted the lies of Planned Parenthood until the truth of the violence of abortion was revealed to me. If Planned Parenthood had announced that over 50 million babies would be aborted in the onslaught of their agenda, I would never have aborted a child. Dr. King would never have agreed with the violent violation of the civil rights of the millions of aborted babies, and Planned Parenthood’s subsequent blitz of women’s health problems related to chemical and artificial birth control methods. This conclusion leads me to remind my readers that I too have a dream, it’s in my genes. How can the dream survive if we murder the children?
